TWC's responsibilities included construction inspection; records and
documentation; payment to the contractor; contract compliance with labor
standards, safety (traffic, construction and work area), accident
prevention and equal opportunity provisions; contract finalization and
acceptance.
Project involves three two-span continuous composite steel plate
girder bridges (two being curved); one cast-in-place reinforced
concrete dual cell rigid frame; 19 mechanically stabilized earth retaining
walls; one dual one-span composite prestressed concrete spread box
beam bridge; one dual three-span continuous composite prestressed
concrete spread box beam bridge; two three-span continuous composite
prestressed concrete spread box beam bridges; one cast-in-place
reinforced concrete box culvert; two cast-in-place concrete retaining
walls; three prestressed concrete spread box beam bridges; one
steel beam bridge; one reinforced concrete closed spandrel arch
extension; modifications to parapet of existing concrete arch bridge,
cast-in-place concrete T-beam bridge, existing steel bridge, and
reinforced concrete retaining wall; one post and panel sound barrier
wall; milling and base replacement; drainage; guide rail; glare screen,
concrete median barrier, and concrete barrier; impact attenuators; curb
and mountable curb; milled shoulder rumble strips; twelve
demolitions; steel sign structures; removal of overhead and cantilever
signs; park-and-ride lot; right-of-way fence; salt storage facility;
removal of portion of existing bridges; environmental items; signs and
pavement markings; traffic control; permanent right-of-way monuments;
lighting of railroad underpass and the park-and-ride lot; overlaying
existing roadway; widening of roadway to create several bypass lanes and a
turn lane; box culvert extension; arch culvert modification; base
replacement; plain cement concrete pavement and shoulders; bituminous
paving courses; anchored soldier pile; planting and roadside development;
erosion control; removal of steel fire tower; and pond release structures. |
